Past & Current Community Projects
QBHD has been and continues to be a caring organzation.
Each year members select a person and/or charity to "adopt". Past projects include adopting Mississippi Gulf
Coast quilter Margaret Schroeder (a victim of Hurricane Katrina), sending Quilts of Valor to returning servicemen and
women who have been injured in service, donating quilts to the children with sicknesses, and donating quilts
for charitable raffles.
Donation Quilts/Fabrics Periodically, guild members work to create quilts and gather fabric to
be donated to various organizations. In the past, the entities which have benefited include the Ronald McDonald
House, nursing homes, prisoner sewing groups, and women's and children's shelters. If you, or someone you
know, has all cotton fabric to donate, please contact the guild.
